International Women of Courage
In honor of Women’s History Month, UCLA Anderson hosted an event on March 4 to celebrate the International Women of Courage awardees. These women faced danger across the globe to take a stand for peace, justice, human rights and empowerment.

This heartwarming story is about a diehard Bruin fan, Hernando Marroquin '74, who received a kidney transplant from a match over 2,200 miles away in lifelong Buckeye fan Dave Jessen. Then they met for the first time at the UCLA-Ohio State Bruin Bash.
The Bruins@Work program fosters Bruin communities within workplaces. It has built relationships with Amazon, Google, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Northrop Grumman, creating career connections and opportunities.
The former Alumni Association president, UC Regent and UCLA's first Black student body president was a civil rights champion who advocated for equity and dedicated his career to legal and judicial excellence. His legacy will be felt at UCLA and beyond.
