Volunteer to read UCLA alumni scholarship applications.
Every application tells a story.
●
A first-year student committed to caring for their community
●
A transfer student who turns ideas into action
●
A current UCLA student driven by big questions and bold ideas
●
A changemaker ready to leave their mark on UCLA and beyond
Each year, thousands of students with extraordinary promise are accepted to UCLA. Many will depend on scholarships to turn their aspirations into reality.

Since 1936, UCLA Alumni Affairs has carried forward a simple but powerful tradition: Bruins supporting Bruins. Alumni Scholarships are merit-based awards that not only help ease financial burdens, but also create a community of mentorship, leadership and lifelong connection.

As a scholarship reader, you become part of the tradition. Your insight and perspective help identify the students who will shape UCLA’s future and carry the Bruin spirit forward.

To ensure every application is reviewed fairly and thoughtfully, all volunteers complete a brief online training. This step helps standardize expectations and level the playing field for everyone.

You’re welcome to participate in one, two or all three reading opportunities this spring.
