The Black Bruin Resource Center makes space on campus for UCLA’s Black and African Diaspora community, serving as a home base where students, staff and faculty can find academic support and resources, socialize, foster mental health and organize as a community. This long-awaited center, opened in its new location in Kerckhoff Hall, after launching remotely in fall 2020. It is the manifestation of UCLA's historical movement for social justice and inspired by a legacy of student advocacy.

As one guest puts it, "Bruin Woods was adult summer camp, frat party and a UCLA cruise on land all rolled into one. And the kids absolutely loved it."
