Los Angeles County Board Supervisor Sheila Kuehl '62 is this year's Edward A. Dickson Alum of the Year for her three decades of leadership in public service for California and Los Angeles residents. The other UCLA Awards recipients include the first Japanese American judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals, L.A. County's superintendent of schools and chief sustainability officer, a South L.A. community organizer, the president emeritus of the OC Bruins, and the UCLA Alumni Band. They will be honored at the UCLA Awards Ceremony on May 21 on campus.
