“Amazing Black Owned Business, huge space, great artwork, friendly
staff! There was great energy and it's the perfect spot for a quick bite to
eat located in the heart of South Central on MLK & Western. We ordered
the vanilla & caramel South LA Freeze and were not disappointed! We
also shared the avocado toast which was delicious. The avocado was a
bit heavy on the bread so I'd ask for the bread to be toasted for a bit
longer! We will be back!”

“Okay this place is such a little gem! I never got to experience it preCOVID, so my review is based only on the pandemic. They have cute
outdoor seating, there's music, the bathrooms are well kept and clean.
Just because you are outside, their service is still great. They have been
attentive every time that I have stopped by. The food is delicious and the
drinks are yummy and strong!!!!! I really recommend the place and I really
hope it survives the pandemic! Keep up the good work guys!”

“Checked this place out for the first time last week. Such a great space in
Highland Park. One of the only places that has the outdoor vibes it has.
Food was amazing, especially the chicken tacos and shrimp ceviche!
Cocktails were so unique and delicious, but my favorite was the mezcal
and how they served it on a beautiful tile with accompaniments. The staff
was super friendly and parking was also easy to find on a weeknight.
Can't wait to come back again for one of their DJ nights!”

Chanin Wine Co. is dedicated to crafting wines from Santa Barbara
County that reflect the individual vineyard in which they are grown. They focus on
pinot noir and chardonnay, two grapes that are especially revealing of subtle
differences in geography, geology and climate. The vineyards are all organic or
sustainably farmed and each wine is made from grapes grown at one vineyard
and not blended. They search out old vines, and make wine from some of the
oldest in the county. This allows them to make refreshingly balanced wines at
lower alcohol levels than most California “blockbuster” or “cult” styled wines.
Through low yields, improved farming techniques and gentle winemaking, Chanin
Wine Co. aims to create a wine that pairs well with food and is delicious young,
but is also age-worthy.
