In response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, UCLA announced a series of closures, cancellations and postponements, along with the shift to working and learning remotely. The tumultuous 90s saw a major earthquake, citywide riots and a hunger strike on campus. It was also an era of advances in tech, the graduation of future change makers and UCLA's elevation to one of the nation's premier research universities. Bruins flourished in sports, arts and science, winning two Nobel Peace Prizes and the Big Dance.
