In 2009, more than 5,000 first-year students, staff, faculty and alumni took part
in the first UCLA Volunteer Day, the largest one-day service event in UCLA’s
history. On Saturday, Sept. 29, UCLA celebrates the 10th anniversary of this milestone
event by bringing together more Bruins for more volunteer events in more places
than ever before. Join this tradition by choosing a project that speaks to your
passions, then sign up to put your skills to work.
On Sept. 13, let your Bruin spirit play in this virtual landscape! For one day only,
log on from anywhere for a one-of-a-kind Bruin experience that will leave you enlightened
and entertained. Next year, Alumni Day returns to campus on May 18.
On July 1, Cheryl Lott '01, J.D. '04 began her two-year term as the president of
the Alumni Association. The experienced commercial litigator discusses her life-changing
