upcoming tours
Dear %%FirstName%%,
Due to the incredible response from our April newsletter, we are highlighting our three total solar eclipse tours again, all with the objective to experience the eclipse to its fullest. This eclipse, the first in Europe for 27 years, will occur low on the horizon just before the sun sets, and will provide a different experience from when totality is high overhead.
From an extensive land tour in Spain to both big and small cruise options, UCLA Alumni Travel has it covered. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience featuring experts where adventure and luxury perfectly align.
On our homepage you’ll find all of our upcoming tours. We’d love to hear from you, so contact us by phone at 310-206-0613 or email at travel@alumni.ucla.edu. We hope to see you on a UCLA Alumni Travel tour soon!
Regards from Westwood,
Christel Aragon
Director, Alumni Travel
Embark on a 14-night journey aboard Oceania Cruises’ Marina as you travel through the heart of Scandinavia and the North Atlantic. Astronomer and sky photographer Dennis Mammana will get you ready for the eclipse through on-site lectures.
On this land tour, view the total solar eclipse as it sweeps across a narrow path of the Iberian Peninsula. View the eclipse in the small village of Peñafiel with popular travel lecturer Jean-Luc Margot, UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences.
Witness the awe-inspiring path of totality during this solar eclipse cruise to Iceland aboard Swan Hellenic’s Vega. UCLA Professor Emeritus Kevin McKeegan will enhance the cruise with lectures and informal discussions.
Travel to the Galápagos Islands with Professor Morgan Tingle, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, March 14-31, 2026. From aboard the 40-guests Isabela II, snorkel with sea lions, observe the giant Galápagos tortoises and view the blue-footed booby with its distinctive bright blue feet.
Our tours are compiled from proposals presented by the finest specialized tour operators. Tours we sponsor have met our strict criteria for financial responsibility, established reputation, professional staff, quality operations and all-around dependability. We hope to see you soon!
