Los Angeles is preparing to host the world, offering a unique chance to showcase our city and highlight who we truly are.

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games near, communities throughout the city are uniting to support the neighborhoods we call home.

Shine LA is a citywide initiative encouraging residents to care for their surroundings. Each month on the fourth Saturday, Angelenos come together to plant trees, paint utility boxes, pick up litter, learn about composting, and beautify their neighborhoods.

Since its launch in April 2025, more than 2,000 residents have engaged in service projects spanning over 30 neighborhoods, including San Pedro, Koreatown, Pacoima, Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, and South LA.
