Select Students for Scholarships |
More than 52,000 high school students from California applied for a spot in UCLA’s 2012 freshman class, but only the best of this stellar applicant pool will be invited to call themselves Bruins. You can help UCLA identify the most accomplished of these students by volunteering to read, evaluate and score merit-based scholarship applications. Readers may also volunteer to conduct in-person interviews of the top candidates. Reward academic merit, strong leadership and service to their communities. UCLA Alumni scholarships range in value from $4,000-$17,500, and selected students will become Alumni Scholars, who also enjoy professional development opportunities, mentorships, career and leadership workshops, community and UCLA service projects, as well as mixers and social activities. There are 14 scholarship districts in California. Join alumni volunteers in your region to network and select freshman scholarship recipients. Training will be provided on evaluating and scoring applications. To volunteer, contact Miriam Simmons or 310-206-0483. |
