Professional Tip Block
We’re halfway through the quarter, which means you either have midterms coming up or you’re working on a big paper that’s due soon. The next couple weeks might be tough but you can beat the stress by learning to manage your time effectively.
Forget pulling another all-nighter and practice these four skills to take control of your to-do lists:
  1. Prioritize your exams, papers or assignments by importance so you know where to devote the majority of your time (The Muse).
  2. Pick SMART goals for each day, like reviewing specific sections of your class notes, finishing part of that paper and setting up a group study session with your friends (MIND Tools).
  3. Schedule your days so that you’re spending most of your time on the things that you’ve prioritized as most important (Medium).
  4. Stay on schedule (Bustle).
As you build the foundation today and advance in your career after graduation, these skills will help you consistently stay on top of your academic and professional responsibilities.
