New Academic Year, New Opportunities


Instruction officially began last Thursday, which means that our new and returning Bruins are in Westwood and looking forward to their UCLA experience. This issue is dedicated to this exciting time of year on campus and how, as alumni, we can engage in guiding and supporting the members of our Bruin community.

Despite UCLA being the first campus to guarantee all undergraduates campus housing, the UC housing crisis still prevents students from enjoying the university community and the UC student experience.

Bruins back on campus means that many of us participate in events to engage with students, which requires extra time and energy. In order to self-care through this wonderful, yet busy time of year, learn about The Science of Sleep and Caffeine and take charge of your health and energy levels.

Alumni Affairs is excited to share an opportunity for you to connect with the campus and our students. The 2022-23 UCLA Alumni Mentor Program is currently recruiting alumni to participate. The deadline for alumni to register has been extended to Sept. 28.
