June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, a time when said community comes together to celebrate the freedom of being themselves. Pride Month is the anniversary of five days of protest in June 1969 after Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera and others stood up to police officers who were arresting community members at New York City’s Stonewall Inn. This issue is dedicated to highlighting events and resources that Bruins have organized to continue the work to ensure an equitable and affirming society for all.

In collaboration with alumni and community members, Arlene Reynolds ’21 and Mika Baumgardner ’21 have launched A Tour of Los Angeles’s Sites of Queer and Trans History. The documents are made available to self-conduct tours of the various sites.
