February is Black History Month — a month to celebrate generations of Black leaders. At UCLA, those leaders include Ralph J. Bunche, Jackie Robinson, Patrisse Cullors and so many more. This week's digest is dedicated to the Black Bruin history at UCLA.

Join UCLA Black Alumni Association on Feb. 6 at the UCLA vs. Cal women's basketball game featuring a pregame panel of Black alumnae at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom in honor of Black History Month.

Celebrate
Celebrate Black History Month with the UCLA Black Alumni Association by supporting the Spark Campaign of the new Black Bruin Resource Center.

Learn
Explore the UCLA Library Special Collections holdings on African Americans, including significant collections which reveal the influence of individuals, organizations and institutions and their role in the development of Los Angeles. 

Watch
Bunchy Carter was a community leader and radical activist whose death – alongside his friend and colleague, John Huggins – is commemorated every year in Campbell Hall by the Afrikan Student Union.
