The UCLA Network of San Diego Fund has surpassed its million-dollar milestone with $1,069,597.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to make this incredible achievement possible. It has been a long but heartfelt journey to this goal. Thinking back more than eight years ago when fundraising involved silent auctions and network events, this goal felt seemingly insurmountable and daunting. We owe a major debt of gratitude to you and your fellow alumni who have attended and generously contributed their time and philanthropy to the scholarship, ultimately forming a community of support.
Our work is far from done — the journey continues. Scholarships need our help more than ever. The plight of students has been affected by the pandemic, with students not being able to congregate on campus. Coursework has been virtual except in a very few cases. As we strive for equity, education brings us closer and makes it more of a possibility. Please contribute, as any and all amounts help make a difference.
“I would like to give you the biggest thank you one could ever give for selecting me as a recipient of an Alumni Scholarship. It means so much to my family and me to receive this money and do what only a limited few have been able to do in my family, and that is to obtain a college education. You have lifted a great amount of stress off both myself and my family, and for that I am unconditionally grateful.”
