The University of California will be observing our newest federal holiday, Juneteenth, on Monday, June 28. Although we understand the symbolic importance of this recognition, we know, as Bruins, there is so much more to be done to address the racist structures of our society so that all can truly live free.
This issue is dedicated to our Black Bruin community and offers opportunities to celebrate Juneteenth through Bruin activism, support and understanding.
