The Diversity Digest

Checking In With You

These are truly unprecedented and challenging times, and many of us are dealing with experiences and emotions we've never had before. But you are not alone. More than anything else, we wanted to check in — to let you know our thoughts are with each and every one of you. We also wanted to thank you for making this community what it is: a collective of Bruins who are resilient and optimistic, creating daring and caring spaces for us to feel like we are all in this together.

For this edition, we wanted to share information that helps UCLA be the diverse and vibrant community it is, even if it is virtually. Learn how the UCs are thinking about equity and diversity during this crisis. Give us ideas about programming for alumnae over your drink of choice. Help us recruit students from the communities we come from.

Lastly, thank you to the Diversity Networks that gathered alumni for some virtual fun, to alumni that took the time to email us with future ideas and to each of you for connecting with us through this digest (and on Instagram!). As we roll out our first weeks of the digest, please know your feedback on how to improve is always welcomed at
diversity@alumni.ucla.edu — as are any ideas you may have!

In community,
