A Letter From UCLA Latino Alumni Association President Cesar Pacheco '18
Dear Latino Bruins,
I am excited to announce that UCLA Latino Alumni Association (ULAA) is looking for dynamic leaders who are interested in coming together to organize Latino alumni and other friends of UCLA for the benefit and advancement of the Latino community, UCLA alumni, students, faculty and staff. ULAA is currently in the process of selecting the Association’s officers and committee chairs for the 2022 – 2023 term. This year, nominations to join the UCLA Latino Alumni Association executive board and committee chairs will begin on Friday, March 18 and end on Friday, April 15.
As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, I want to express my gratitude to the powerful women on our board who are committed to ULAA’s mission. I also want to acknowledge that U.S. President Joe Biden has proclaimed March 31 as César Chávez Day.
In the sports world, we want to congratulate Jaime Jaquez Jr. and the UCLA Men’s Basketball team for having a great season, as well as the Women's Basketball team for making it to the semifinal round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament.
Looking forward, my personal goal is to double the current value of ULAA’s endowed scholarship fund. If you or your company is interested in making this happen, through donations, events, volunteering, lending your skills, etc., please reach out to me at latino@alumni.ucla.edu.
As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns via email at latino@alumni.ucla.edu.
Go Bruins!
