Last month was filled with several events that brought our alumni together. At our first event as a new board, we mixed and mingled with those interested in learning and engaging more with the association.
Later in the month, we hosted a special luncheon and cooking demonstration, Taste of El Salvador,with the award-winning cookbook author of "Delicious El Salvador," Alicia Maher '92. Together, we were able to raise $2,000 towards our scholarship endowment.
For UCLA Volunteer Day, students, alumni and community members joined ULAA to help beautify one of the Children's Institute Head Start Preschools in the Watts neighborhood. To round out the month, alumni gathered with other networks — UCLA Alumni Bay Cities, Beachside, Silicon Beach and Westside Bruins — for some fun at the LA Galaxy vs. Vancouver Whitecaps game at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson.

Tailgate Party at the Rose Bowl With the UC Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association (CLAA)
We will be co-hosting a special tailgate event with the UC Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association at the Rose Bowl for the UCLA vs. Cal game. Come join us and watch the Bruins take on the Golden Bears over Thanksgiving weekend!
