“Ephesus, the most preserved Greco-Roman city in the world, is well worth a visit. Enjoy this eight-night cruise aboard the exclusively chartered, five-star Le Bougainville. This elite small Ponant ship features only 92 staterooms, and has been a favorite with our travelers over the last decade. Other ports of call are Athens, Delos, Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes and Santorini.”

TRAVELER'S MOMENT
Travelers: Kim Wakefield ’82 Number of Trips With UCLA Alumni Travel: 2 First Trip: Oregon Shakespeare Festival (2000) Most Recent Trip: Croatia & the Dalmatian Coast (2023) A Favorite Memory: “I found the whole of Croatia incredibly interesting, especially learning more about their ancient Greek and Roman past as well as the more modern events which have shaped the country we know today. Going with UCLA Alumni Travel was the best way to experience this country! It was educational to see the very European capital of Zagreb, visit the birthplace of Tito and then the Museum of the Homeland War before taking in the natural beauty of Plitvice National Park on our way to the coast. Cruising the Adriatic on a yacht for a week was an unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone on the tour and my appreciation for the beauty that is Croatia only grew as we explored several islands and coastal gems such as Hvar, Trogir, Split and Dubrovnik. The warm hues of limestone buildings contrasted so beautifully with the green hills and crystal blue water of the Adriatic. Walking the fortified medieval walls surrounding Dubrovnik was one more check off my bucket list. All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime!”
