A land of contrasts: the renowned natural beauty of Costa Rica and the tropical wildness of Panama; the bustling wonder of the Panama Canal, a marvel of engineering in constant use for nearly 100 years. Travel with us as we go by expedition ship for a unique two-day Canal transit and rare opportunities to explore deep in the jungle.
Small group touring to the Lands Down Under adds up to a perfect combination as we travel from Australia’s spectacular Great Barrier Reef and the storied Outback to sophisticated Sydney; from New Zealand’s towering Mt. Cook and breathtaking Milford Sound to high-spirited Queenstown and nautical Auckland.

“This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I highly recommend a trip to Antarctica at some point in your travels. Stroll amongst thousands of penguins, cruise alongside icebergs and learn about this intricate ecosystem from expert naturalists. I have visited Antarctica twice as it is a very special place on earth. Only a few spaces remain on the January 2024 cruise, featuring Professor Peter Narins, Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology.”

It was such a great trip that we have continued to sign up for more, and we just completed our 13th trip to Greece. We have especially enjoyed the educational aspect of many trips that featured UCLA professors. The food and guides are always great. A special moment in Seville, Spain, was standing where Columbus met with Ferdinand and Isabella.”
