“One of the most memorable and meaningful trips I have ever participated in was visiting Israel. To experience firsthand how three different world religions intersected was a very moving experience. The encounters were plentiful and diverse, and the visit to Yad Vashem — The World Holocaust Remembrance Center, one of the most powerful museums in the world, was an experience I’ll never forget. It is a destination not to be missed, and I plan to return one day.”

TRAVELER'S MOMENT
Travelers: Bonnie ’70 (Rosenblatt) and Marc ’72 Gottlieb Number of Trips With UCLA Alumni Travel: 3 First Trip:Antarctica (2019) Most Recent Trip:Machu Picchu to the Galápagos (2022) A Favorite Memory: “Regrettably, we 'discovered' UCLA Alumni Travel late in life. Our travels had already taken us to 54 countries and 41 states, from the Great Wall of China to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, before our first adventure with UCLA Alumni Travel in January 2019. And we consider them to be adventures and not just trips – Antarctica with Iguazu Falls extension, Iceland, and Machu Picchu to the Galapagos. Travel is about experiences and making memories. Pictures and videos do not do justice to the sights, sounds and smells of a penguin colony in Antarctica; the heat and fury of a new volcano in Iceland; or watching the sunrise over the engineering marvel that is Machu Picchu. You must be there in person, and we thank UCLA Alumni Travel for taking us there. What’s next? Australia/New Zealand and an African safari. Go Bruins.”
