“This trip is an absolute gem, and I so enjoyed the experience when I participated in 2018. By cruising on a small vessel with less than 200 travelers, enjoy ports of call inaccessible by large cruise ships. All shore excursions, alcoholic beverages and an extensive lecturer program are included. Join Professor Alex Hall, Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, next June during the summer solstice for this memorable cruise. The early booking discount has been extended until Nov. 30.”

Travelers: Wilbur Harden ’77 and Colleen Sullivan Number of Trips With UCLA Alumni Travel: 2 First Trip:Machu Picchu to the Galápagos (2022) Most Recent Trip:Africa’s Wildlife (2022) A Favorite Memory: “Now that we have returned from our wonderfully joyous UCLA Alumni Travel "Africa's Wildlife" adventure, we have had the opportunity to recuperate and reflect. First and foremost, we would like to express our utmost gratitude to UCLA Alumni Travel’s staff. Our incredible trip would not have been so seamless without their kind, considerate expertise and professionalism. We also appreciate the memorable times and friendships we made with fellow alumni along our journey. The game drives and river cruises were so captivating and surreal. Amongst the multitude of exotic animals roaming around, we saw lions, black rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, African buffaloes, baboons, impala, kudu, crocodiles, penguins, warthogs, ostriches and even a leopard! Thanks to our wonderful, knowledgeable guides, we learned a great deal about southern Africa's rich history, indigenous tribes, geographic scenery, and governmental and socioeconomic structures. It was the trip of a lifetime. We can't wait for our next adventure with UCLA Alumni Travel.”
