Historic rivalries have traditions and pregame rituals to get fans hyped up for the big game. This year's Beat 'SC Bonfire and Rally will take place on campus on Nov. 21, featuring student performers and the UCLA Football team. Alumni are treated to VIP seating, or you can watch via live stream at 6 p.m. from the comfort of anywhere. On Nov. 23, the annual Bruin Bash is held three hours prior to the game at USC. This ultimate tailgate features a scrumptious buffet, entertainment and an open bar at a spectacular new location. The game itself brings the Bruin faithful to dozens of neighborhood bars across the country in organized game watch parties. Join in the fun and revelry by taking part in these events. Go Bruins!

On Oct. 29, 1969, the first message on the precursor to the Internet was sent from Professor Leonard Kleinrock’s research lab in Boelter Hall. Fifty years later, a day-long celebration was held at UCLA, bringing together an A-list of scientists, tech entrepreneurs, entertainers, activists and politicians to discuss the future of the Internet.
