“I traveled to Iceland last year and was in awe of this astonishing land. Each day brought powerful waterfalls, bubbling mud holes and abundant bird life. I can't wait to go back one day to explore more of this beautiful island — one visit is not enough.”

It was a gray, cool day, which was perfect weather to visit such a solemn place. Seeing the rows after rows of graves of brave, young American soldiers and Marines was tragic and awe-inspiring. The beaches and steep cliffs the GIs steadfastly attacked, with so many losing their lives, were a stark reminder of the heroism displayed in the early days of the D-Day invasion. Earlier in the day, we visited the small town of Arromanches, where the Allies built a harbor to unload the tons and tons of supplies necessary to support the fighting men during the liberation of France.”
