Women's HERstory Month. At UCLA, HERstory is more than a 31 day celebration in March. It is a narrative of the unheard voices freed from the silence and shadows of history, a declaration of the power of womanhood today and a promise that will usher in the achievements of future generations. Bay Area Scholarships, Events on the Rise
The Bay Area Bruins are doing big things in big numbers. They led all alumni networks with 90 events last year, attracting hundreds of alumni in attendance and just recently allocated $14,000 towards funding their Alumni Scholarship. Here's how they did it.

Bruin Spotlight: Jaime Nack '98, M.P.P. '02
Jaime Nack went from producing JazzReggae Fest at UCLA to creating a large-scale sustainability plan for three Democratic National Conventions. A board member for the Alumni Association and founder of businesses focused on eco-friendly behavior, she is considered one of today's young global leaders in environmental consulting and will speak on March 23 at UCLA on the future of sustainability.

Queer Cats, Queer Bilingual Poetry - March 8
Celebrate International Woman's Day at The Black Cat, a Los Angeles historic, cultural monument to LGBTQ activism, with a poetry reading featuring professor and poet Alicia Gaspar de Alba, Ph.D. and two UCLA alumni and accomplished writers as a part of Lambda LitFest.

Help Students Build Their Confidence for Interviews - April 25
The long-running and successful Interview With a Bruin has paired experienced alumni with students looking to hone their interview skills. Alumni volunteers are needed to listen and offer practical advice during mock interviews.
