Professor Andrea Ghez - UCLA Physics and Astronomy

Andrea Ghez’s work has earned her a MacArthur Fellowship, the Crafoord Prize from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Bakerian Medal from Britain’s Royal Society. Her TEDGlobal talk has drawn an audience of more than half a million online viewers.

Professor Kristy Guevara-Flanagan – UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Her first feature-length film was an acclaimed documentary covering four years in the lives of four adolescent girls. Going on 13 was an official selection of Tribeca, Silverdocs, and many other film festivals worldwide. It received funding from ITVS and was broadcast on public television in 2009.

WEEK 10 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Open to UC system degree-holders or current staff or faculty from any of the 9 affiliated campuses.
One person per cabin must be current member of the UCLA Alumni Association.*
UC affiliates are grandfathered into their spot for their chosen week (9 or 10) but may not move to weeks 1-8.
By applying to attend Bruin Woods, attendees agree to accept the eligibility conditions of the program.

*Membership in the UCLA Alumni Association is automatic for all UCLA degree holders, attendees, certificate holders, medical residents, fellows and post doctorial scholars.
