ULAA invites you to hear the riveting true story about Cinco de Mayo presented by Dr. David E. Hayes-Bautista, author of El Cinco de Mayo: An American Tradition and Director of the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture at the David Geffen School of Medicine.

The evening program will also include dances of the Civil War period by UCLA's Groupo Folkloriko, an exhibit titled “Women’s Business: Las Juntas Patrióticas de Señoras and Latina Women in Public Life in California, 1850–2014", as well as opportunities to network over some light appetizers and refreshments.
