With less than three months left in the academic year, this is a great opportunity to review and reassess your goals for your mentorship. We encourage you to look back at the Mentorship Agreement that you completed together at the beginning of the academic year. See how you have progressed with what you set out to accomplish together and refresh your goals for the remaining time to make the most of your mentorship. If you feel that it is time to end the mentorship, check out our “Ending Your Mentorship Resource Page.”
Internships, Jobs and Research Opportunities: Students, whether you are just starting your search, already applying and interviewing, or preparing to start an internship, job or research opportunity, this is the time to seek the advice and expertise of your mentor – no matter what phase you are in.
Mentors, reach out to your student and ask where they are in this process and how you can help prepare them for a good first (virtual) impression. Your guidance could give them the edge they need to secure a great opportunity and succeed in that position.
Congratulations to mentor Danielle Roque, who was nominated by her student, Eliza Aiken.
“Danielle is truly the best, most caring, and knowledgeable mentor I could have ever asked for. Danielle deserves recognition for being a stellar mentor as she not only educates me about her role in the entertainment industry but also encourages me to explore other potential roles by connecting me with other people in her network. I feel as though I am fully aware of how the whole industry operates now. Danielle is not just someone I meet with once a month—she always remembers any big tests I have coming up, reads and edits my résumés, and truly helps me further my career. I can't thank her enough.”
Eliza Aiken is a first-year pre-business economics major. Danielle Roque earned her bachelor’s degree in history and is currently a senior publicist at Paramount Pictures.
