To set up the most successful framework for your mentorship, make sure to review and discuss the Mentorship Guidelines and complete the Mentorship Agreement by the end of December.

December Challenge
Résumé Review: Students, you can gain industry insight and a competitive edge by asking your mentor to review your résumé and discuss improvements. Don’t have one yet? Ask to see your mentor’s résumé to get some inspiration!

A Welcome Message for Students
Happy Holidays fellow Bruins! Congratulations on successfully finishing fall quarter. My name is Kyle Bui, and I am the student director of the Alumni Mentor Program (AMP). I am really excited and privileged to have the opportunity to work with you all and am looking forward to hearing about all of your mentor relationships. I, along with the AMP committee, will be programming all year long to help facilitate meaningful mentorship experiences between you and your mentors; we hope that we can ensure that you come out of the program with confidence and feeling fulfilled!
With the quarter coming to a close, it's time to begin to think about specific goals to accomplish within the mentorship program and to brainstorm plans of action to accomplish these goals with your mentor. Listed in this newsletter is the first suggested challenge of the year, which is to conduct a “Résumé Review.” We think that this is a great way to start a conversation with your mentor and can serve as an outlet for you to share your leadership experiences and professional aspirations with them. Discuss how they incorporated their personal experiences into their own résumé.
Be on the lookout for emails about specific programs the AMP committee will host in winter quarter, which will be sent out in the coming weeks. Coming up this winter quarter, visit our weekly office hours via Zoom for advice and tips every Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m.
