Your Individual Development Plan: The Individual Development Plan (IDP) concept is commonly used in industry to help employees define and pursue their career goals, and can help you tackle short and mid-term goals. As a masters, Ph.D. or postdoc, this is a great framework to think about in your career planning. Resources are available for social sciences, humanities and STEM academics. We encourage you to explore these resources, take the assessments, and spend some time reflecting on your goals and expectations. Share what you find with your mentor and ask for their feedback.
