Bruins, this is your call to action: Sign up to be a mentorto a current UCLA student starting this fall! Your insight and guidance will offer support and provide a sounding board for students who could benefit from your experience.
As an alumni mentor, you have an opportunity to build and sustain meaningful relationships with current students. You can have an impact by sharing your professional and personal experience, and helping to prepare them for success in their UCLA journey and beyond. It doesn’t have to take too much of your time, especially with the array of virtual tools at your fingertips. The benefits of mentorship are symbiotic — helping students reach their goals, and finding purpose and friendship along the way.
We encourage you to do what Bruins do — make a difference and support each other on this Bruin journey!

"I love how Dr. Yee (pictured here) and I can talk about professional development, but also personal development, including what we find fulfilling in life, what motivates us and how to celebrate small successes as we work towards accomplishing our milestone goals. Thank you, Dr. Yee, for being one of the highlights of my UCLA experience.”
— Kelly Kaon, second-year human biology and society major
“David (pictured here) has been an enormous help and has truly gone above and beyond for me. We have met virtually several times, and he has provided extremely in-depth advice about law school admissions, the LSAT, law school, the hiring process, federal clerkships and much more.
— Aviv Assayag, fourth-year political science major
“Stacy (pictured here) does an amazing job following up with me on my life outside of academics, creating an environment where I feel comfortable to speak with her about almost anything. She gives the best advice, and anytime I achieve something (e.g., secure a research internship, get an A in a class, or finish an important task), I get excited to share the good news with her.
— Dolce Vita Martin-Moreno, third-year psychology major
